Your Input is Needed

The City of San Diego Planning Department is preparing to vote on a new policy that would allow developers to get density and fee waivers to create high-density housing within within 1.0 mile walking distance of a major transit stop.  Parcels located within 1 mile walking distance from a major transit stop will be called Sustainable Development Areas or SDAs.

The SDAs would replace the Transit Priority Areas or TPAs currently defined as parcels within .5 mile of a major transit stop.

This would change the required distance to major transit from .5 mile to 1.0 mile for large infill projects, like the Mars Hotel Project, that do not comply with local zoning restrictions and provide no parking.

Your input will be extremely valuable for shaping this proposed change in policy
